I have a 2 year old and I have a car seat that is made by Britax. From what I know it is rated #1. They are a little pricey so shop around. They are also designed to handle kids up to 60 lbs, so you won't be buying more then one seat. good luck

a regular rear facing car seat....as long as it works right then why is one better than the other......just make for sure you are using it properly

One that A fits your car and B you can install properly every time.
