Now I like the real ones but I hate the mess and often go with the artificial ones.

I have to tell you that I have had the same inner struggle. I love the smell of the real ones and the experience of going to pick it out.
However, I am so afraid of fire and I won't have one anymore as they are messy and we have a wood fireplace. I just don't want to take any extra chances.

I love the smell of the real trees but I am allergic to them so we have to use an artificial one.

real x-mas trees are the best! I love the way they smell. Plus the smell puts you in a happier mood.

you answered your own question.....everyone likes the real one for the smell and looks but dont like because of the fire hazards and clean up
