Try to get on a home study program with a public school, if your parents will let you.

Why do you need an accredited high school diploma? Are you applying for a job that requires it?
If you are headed to college, you should look at other options besides having that "accredited" diploma. Having that diploma won't automatically make it easier to get into college.
First, I'd recommend deciding what it is that you want to do with your life. What are your goals? What are you working towards? And just "going to college" doesn't count. That's not a goal. That's a WAY to achieve your life goal. College is a tool, not an end goal. If you don't have a goal beyond college yet, then think long and hard about what you want to do, and once you have a clear idea of what you're interested in pursing, look at college AND other ways to pursue that goal.
I also recommend going to Yahoo Groups and joining a homeschooling group for your state and ask there about how you can meet your goals as a homeschooler. http://groups.yahoo.com
There are a lot of homeschool and non-traditionally educated teens that have forged the path before you. Use their wisdom to help you decide where to go from here. Don't trap yourself in the idea that in order to be successful you have to do things a certain way. Make your own success. You're nearly an adult, prove it. Be a success now, with the skills and resources that you have. Use your freedom - the freedom that so many teens your age would sell their left arm to have. (Figuratively of course :)
Good luck!

I went through a private school who would go over my annual high-school portfolios (standard in most states to prove you are actually learning anything). When I graduated they gave me a accredited highschool diploma. It cost $100 a year, and I had a graduation with the rest of my "class". I think they charged me like.... $50 for the gown, but it all worked out.
As I understand it some local highschools will do this as well, you could try talking to your local public school superintendant. I think if you go through the highschool it will be much cheaper, but they may want you to take some tests to prove that you know what you know.

You can get an accredited high school diploma without going to school. There are a ton of places online. First check with your local schools--there are boards out there that have their own at-home or online high school program. Even a local homeschooling support group might know about what's available. Check in with local, as in community, but also at the state level for homeschooling groups.
If you can't find anything that way, check this site http://www.geocities.com/Athens/8259/skonet.html . I don't know how many are accredited, but it's a good starting place.

Hmmm... by home schooled you mean your parents teach you right? Well, I'm in cyber school... and it's actually really good for me. Cyber school seems to be getting a lot of attention lately. If your parents don't want you to go to a public school, and you can't afford a private school... you can always try cyber school. From my personal experiences my cyber school has better curriculum than my last school.
But if cyber school doesn't sound like your thing, or you're not to sure about it. Talk to your parents about some options. Every parent wants what's best for their kids, the only thing you can really do is talk to them. Explore options.

Well...my son graduated as a home schooler....with no credited diploma....did very well on his sat scores....and is in an engineering program for his 3rd year...I am not really sure how important a credited diploma is...but it could be different in your area...I don't know...
And by the way homeschooling is a "real" school...

hey if it helps sit with your parents an even show them this that you want to go to a real school your education comes first you will not get tainted for going to public schools there are so many good people that have been in public schools. there is so much you can learn in public/ private school interaction with people your age. home school kids act a lot different an tend to keep to themselves vs kids that have integrated with others there age . also some private schools have wavers for family's that cant afford tuition.
