I just recently started taking One-A-Day Women's multi-vitamins and every day I take it, I get a sick feeling in my stomach, like I need to vomit. I used to take a different type of multi-vitamin, and haven't had this symptom in the past. I take it with food, and am not sure what causes the nausea or how to relieve it.
Has anyone had a similar experience of feeling sick after taking vitamins, or know what might cause this feeling? I am also looking for tips on how to relieve nausea.
Any helpful feedback is appreciated, thanks!

Well, I was going to suggest you take it with food, but since you already do there must be something about that brand that just upsets your stomach. Did your doctor recommend a daily multi-vitamin? If not, and you eat a resonably healthy diet, you really do not need it. if you are determined to take a daily vitamin, go back to the old brand.

It should not make you sick. I wouldn't take those anymore until you ask a doctor about it. Depending on how you eat, you make be taking in too much of a certain vitamin and throwing your body off. I have never felt that way after taking vitamins, and actually I take them every other day now instead of daily. I would at least call a nurse and ask them about it.
Be careful and good luck!

Many vitamins are difficult to take and make you nauseated. You might try some of the childrens chewable, sounds funny but it worked for me during my pregnanacy. Otherwise, maybe take a tums first, or drink milk with it. To relieve nausea, well, crackers and 7up work for me or you could take a dramamine, which is actually a motion sickness medication, but it can help with just plain nausea too.

Think about it Lady! Nature provides all the food that you are required to eat to be healthy and live a long life! More over, there are no substitutes for Nature!
We all know what we are suppose to eat: Fresh dark green vegetables, fresh fruit, red meat, fish and foul, drink milk and at lest 8 glasses of water a day!
Nothing that man makes or messes with is going to replace the above. Mans chemistry will cause you more harm than good!
OK, we often mess our bodies up so badly, we need medicines
to help get us back on the road! But there is a price to taking chemistry! Nature works in hundreds of thousands of years.
All bets are off as to the issues man will face in the future because of chemistry we ingest to day!

You need to take it with food. When I am busy in the morning and don't have time for a decent breakfast I take my vitamins with a couple of table spoons of apple sauce or yogert, or I take them with lunch. If this does not help see your doctor, or change brands. =) I hope this helps.
