When I pray in tongues, I am full of the Holy Spirit. I would probably be considered crazy to a lost sinful world, at least thats what I would hope for. I am truly not of this world. I have a home in heaven. I am just passing through this sinful world. Praying in tongues helps me keep my focus right.

Praying in tongues is something Christians have been doing for 2000 years.

When you pray in tongues you are allowing

1. The Spirit to give you a fresh filling
and
2.To make intercession for you.

When you first start to speak tongues, it's more an act of faith that heavenly possesion.

And it's awesome and peaceful.

Personally I think people just want to feel closer to God and it comes from their subconscious. There is such a thing as praying in tongues, but it is not the sort of thing that you see in a Pentecostal Church.

Eh, to each thier own I guess. If someone finds praying in tounges get's them closer to God then more power to them, for I am not to judge. However, a long time ago I was channel surfing one night and came across Robert Tilton on the TBN Network and he was just mumbling and carrying on, and I was a bit perplexed. He then said for me to put my head on the tv screen and rub it against the screen and I would grow hair too. Didn't work.
