My kittens were spayed on Monday. They came home on Tuesday and were pretty active -- mostly trying to rip off their E-collars and intimdate each other (they had to be reacquainted). Yesterday (Tuesday) they seemed to be running around quite a bit. Today, however, they have been napping quite a bit and my older one, who is usually standoffish, has been UNUSUALLY affectionate with me. She took a nap right on my chest, and constantly seeks me out to take naps in my company. They are both eating normally. If they are eating, not withdrawing from me or each other, and their suture site looks OK, should I be concerned about anything?

Yes, totally normal. The vet visit is very traumatic and you are the protector. Its kind of like a child running for Mommy when hurt. Just give them lots of extra love, they are obviously finding comfort in your presence.

Nope! Your cats may have just been running off the effects of the anesthesia. It can stay in their systems for a day or two. They sound like they are acting normal to me. I hope you enjoy the affection. As their estrogen levels get lower their behavior gets more calm. And it sounds to me like they were grateful that you came and got them out of the strange surroundings at the vet's office. Have fun with them and as long as the surgical sites continue to look good no worries.
Best wishes for a happy holiday with your buddies.
