that is slightly troublesome to sum up some 500+ religions in some sentences...yet right here is going. What you're thinking include the Earth-depending religions. Wicca has been round because the mid-twentieth century and is kindof a weirdness of its personal. that is amazingly warmth and fuzzy, they suspect in a Goddess and a God and the Rede this is, "an it damage none, do what ye will". They do prepare magic (which they spell magick) in a fashion you should imagine of as "hollywood witch". they're truly nice persons and are not in any respect evil or devil worshippers. the different pagan religions you're concerning are similar in that the vacation journeys follow the cycle of seasons and agriculture. maximum of them were round on the grounds that previously recorded history and survive as both new incarnations of previous techniques or outcast threads that were not killed off in the course of the medieval eu horrors (the Inquisition or Crusades or the witch hunts). maximum of those have more advantageous than 2 gods/goddesses and some prepare magic, some do not. there is more advantageous techniques with techniques from going to Witchvox (on-line) or only surfing. Of each and each and every of the pagan faiths, Wicca has a tendency to dominate the internet yet different religions are there too. once you've different questions experience free to e mail me.

Basically Wicca is a earth based religion. We worship the goddess and god. We belive in cycles in nature and the world arnound us. We follow the wiccan rede which states "An' it harm none, do as ye will." - this also means yourself!!
Many Wiccans practice magic but not all, many also have a belief in reincarnation and karma (know as the three fold law) We promote tolerance and acceptance of all cultures and religions. We view the earth as sacred, and are connected to her cycles.
this is just a start. Here are a few sites that may help you.

The easiest answer to your question is "no" "Wicca" covers a multitude of religions under different banners. The one I know most closely and speaking most generally is that if you look at a "wiccan" calender you see that all of the holidays revolve around important parts of the agricultural year, sowing, harvesting and that sort of thing. I would imagine it was a way to ask the spirits of nature to spare your village from famine or drought in its earilest genisis.
In the modern times it can refer to people who still follow the Norse, Celtic, Greek, roman, Egyptian or even rarer pantheons of Gods, including a set all its own. The path my wife belongs to focuses very heavily upon a Moon Goddess of compassion. There are plenty of websites to look into for more information.

This is unrelated to your question, but you said that the odds of the existence of a creator are far greater than that of the universe coming about through random chance. Let's see...how to calculate the odds of there being a creator? Well, he either exists, or he doesn't... as far as my math can tell, that boils down to 50:50 odds. Beats one in 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000. Have a nice day.
