Can I know which is the best free antivirus software?

I want to know the best free available antivirus software that could be downloadable from internet because usually some of the free antivirus softwares seems to be not working. It works as if it detects viruses and cleans but ultimately the same virus is being again displayed.

they are realising the new one so if you buy the cheaper right now you can get the update of new one and dont have to pay for new one...not the higher price....it has the strongest firewall out of all...

People might tell you different things. But "BIT DEFENDER" is the best antivirus. Its ranking in the Anti-virus software list tells you all about its effectiveness.

It is extremely easily to update even for dail-up connection users, unlike Norton where you have to download a 4mb time every time to update your definitions. Norton is also not as effective as bitdefender.

Bitdefender catches even the trojans and bugs while they enter your system through temporarry internet files and comes with a inbuilt firewall.

This single antivirus software is enough on its own to protect your system from all types of threats.

i asked this ? a lot
don't go checking in my ?s cause i did not ask it here

and i down loaded all the crap they told me to none of it worked because i got a virus then i ran superantispywear.com program cause that was the free crap i had at the time unpluged the computer it took care of the virus execpt for that it worked pretty darn good so i asked the ? one more time

And then i was told to go to http://www.prevx1.com/

before that i downloaded avast i downloaded avast because a friend told me to it worked ok i still have it because it's good for 60 days but like i was saying i went to prevex.com and i downloaded there free trial and scan and ever since the first scan i have had no viruses and no problems with anything just make sure you prefences don't interfer with anything like internet service prevex can be used with most all other programs so thats what i am sticking with and it is a pretty good price if you do want to buy it

yeah i know.. go to cnet.com and read the reviews.. according to some good sites that reviews correctly... some saying avira is good (free-av.com) & SOME SAYING avast is..(www.avast.com)
well theres no site supporting avg free edition dont know y.. but the best detection is of the free antivirus powered by kaspersky.. the website is www.activevirusshield.com

I'm currently using "AVIRA Antivir Personal Edition 7.00.00.47" at least for 2-3 years and my PC works just fine. No virus problems, trojans, dialers, live scan,

I use a combination of Avast and AVG. My system is so tight its incredible. What one doesn't catch, the other will.
