How many women feel like this?

(This was written over a 1000 years ago, does it hold true today)?

Are single women really self-sufficient and independent, or are they lost and/or feeling lost?

Everyone is different and your answers on here will be different too :) I guess it all depends on whats important to the woman and what type of personality she has

It is not true. Women are capable, and strong and amazing. You can be self-sufficient and independent, and concur the world.

Life is stuff, demanding, stressful and sometimes depressing. And Yes, life is easier when you have a partner, someone who encourages you, supports you and celebrates with you. This goes for women and men, straight or gay. Life is easier if you are part of a couple, but it is not required. Good friends and a supportive family can that "lost feeling" too. The wrong spouse can make you feel worst than no spouse at all.

Find peace and happiness in you life as a single person, and you will find the right partner that is better for you, if that is what you want. Otherwise you can just enjoy your life.

Of course it's true for some and not for others. There's every sort and combination of needs, personalities and situations in the world around us.
Feeling lost though, one should look inside to the developing of the character or the spirit, not outward for another human to resolve that sensation.
Feeling lonely (longing for love) doesn't have to render one helpless (like an army w/o its commander).

It has to depend on the woman, because some women can be independent. However some women depend on the men- only b/c they can't finance themselves (it's usually the main reason).

i think that it depends on the woman...some women are perfectly fine with out a man...lesbians prefer it that way! some on the other hand feel incomplete and helpless without one..i would say that women CAN function with out men....but whether they want to or not is a total different question..

more and more, women are realizing that to have a truly satisfying relationship, they have to be self-sufficient, independent and fulfilled on their own first. then only can they give and receive what is necessary to sustain a relationship with a man.
