From Islamic teaching, the answer is that God cannot be seen in a human form?

There are many reason for this view. I will menation just a few:
1) God the creator is different from the creation (things that God created).
2) In the Quran, it is stated that nothing is similar or can be compared to God's entity.
3) In Islam there is no concept of "man is created in the image of God".
4) God is majestic, the almighty whereas human being is only one of the creations of God. From Islamic point of view it is logical the God does not need to lower himself to be seen in a human form.

Having said that, there are three Islamic teachings that most non-Muslims are not aware of:
1) God will let His choosen servants to see His actual face / entity.(Note: there are mainly 2 different opinions among Muslims regarding this);
2) Jinn or satan can be seen in human form.
3) Angels can be seen in human form. According to Islamic teaching, some people actually have seen angels appearing in human forms and mistakenly thought what they have just seen as gods whereas the fact is God is only one and He has decreed that He will not reveal His original entity / face to His creation before the end of the world.

There is one interesting story when the prophet Moses asked God to reveal His true self. God told prophet Moses, he can see His face if he looks at one mountain and the mountain remains there. Prophet Moses looked at the mountain and in just a few moment the mountain crumbled to earth. The lesson God wanted to teach prophet Moses and human being is that God is almighty and at the present time, here in this world we don't have the necessary strenght to see the true face of the Almighty God.

No because God is god and not a human. His face is so holy that no one can look in it because no one is that pure. So even if God could be seen we couldn't look at Him because we are impure until after we die and all of our impurities are removed.
