I have a 6 month old kitten that is in heat. She is yowling whenever we move her. Sounds like shes in alot of pain but I've read online that its nothing. I was just wondering if blood is a possibility...

Yes when cats go into estrus there will be a little blood. Most of the time the cat is very fastidious about keeping herself clean so you won't see much blood. Unless you plan to breed her you need to make an appt with your vet ASAP. If she should get out (and cats in heat will do just about anything to get out in order to breed) you'll land up with a litter of kittens that maybe you don't want. She will be much happier if she is spayed. All of my girls are. If price is a problem, check your local phone book for organizations like People for Animals. They are a low cost spay & neuter clinic> I have taken all my cats there for the last 10 years and have never had a problem with any infection or surgery site itching. These folks are very good and caring. The vets who do the surgeries are all qualified vets. If you can't find any listings in the phone book call some local animal shelters they may have information on low cost clinics in your area.

Yes, sometimes they do. I have raised many cats and I have had a few females that have bled while in heat, but just to be sure, call your vet.
