This is a good question. Are you a pastor?
Anyway maybe one will read this. I would like a pastor that loves his people like his own family, that takes time to visit, call, pray, fast, etc. for the congregation. He needs to be real, not high and mighty. One on one is important. He should talk to the people to see what they think about his work and what they would like. An humble person, not always in a suit.

Let me start out by saying this: A Pastor is not a therapist! His responsibility is like that of a Sheep Dog protecting a flock of sheep. Think about it. Jesus is the Shepherd, the Pastor is the Sheep Dog! I don't believe someone should call their Pastor and wake him up at 3 in the morning to request prayer! Sure most Pastor's are glad to help! But there are ways to be rational when it comes to seeking help from a pastor.

I expect him to preach the Word of God. All men are human, and they make mistakes, but they have to Teach the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus. If they don't preach that then they are false preachers.
