If people weren't taught themselves, how do they know what to teach their kids?

There is one game that I'm really excited about. Although I don't have kids...I know that its well worth the money for when I do have some. It teaches kids about how to handle credit, money, investments...etc.

This is a good question, and one that more new parents should ask. They will learn life skills at the right time as they grow. There are even life skill classes at the middle schools that teach basics- cooking, sewing, budgeting, etc.
I think the most important skills that can be taught to children by their parents are more moral. There is a program called Character Counts that teaches desirable character traits. Also, when my children were younger they loved to watch the "Book of Virtue" tv show and read the stories from the Book of VIrtue books. These are based on virtues found in the Bible.
Also, don't underestimate the benefit of church. I have had the most support from our church and its youth programs.
And finally, it is never too late to develop life, coping, and character skills! You will be a great parent and can pass it along!

What a great question! If you are honest, loving, sincere and genuine I think the answers will come from your heart. Children need to be taught right from wrong, good from bad,to treat people as they would like to be treated among other things. One could also go to therapy learn and figure out why they themselves never learned life skills and coping skills. There also has been alot written on these topics in the self help area of the bookstore. I hope this helped a bit.

Teach them the every day joys of what is around them. Respect, confidence, right and wrong, compassion for those in need, kindness and generosity. Those thing instill in the young for we have enough selfish and greedy people on this earth.
