I would probably go for a heart stress test if I were you. It really isn't worth risking your life over. The doctor would be able to tell you why your resting heart rate is so fast.

It could also be other things, such as medicine you are taking or artery blockage.

Are you dreaming/having nightmares? That could also cause an adrenaline rush and elevated pulse.

Do yourself a favor and talk to your doctor about it. Your family probably wants to keep you around.

Merry Christmas!

Could be paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea - sudden shortness of breath that awakens you. This is a significant sign of heart disease. You should also be checked for sleep apnea. See a MD.

I think you had better go ..today and make an appointment to have a sleep study done. Some people really do stop breathing while they sleep...especially overweight people. Please for your own good...make an appointment. Hope you get to feeling better and find out what's going on.

Do you snore? Sleep with your mouth open?

Could be sleep apnea, a potentially life threatening condition.

See a doctor. We don't know from Jack on the internet!!!!!
