I want to know how one and a half chickens laid one and a half eggs? Wouldn't half a chicken be a dead chicken? Sounds like a trick question to me. There's no such thing as laying half an egg, either.

9 eggs if you really wanted to know.

1.5 chickens/1.5 days = 1.5 eggs
so
1 chicken/1 day = 1.5 eggs

1.5 eggs per chicken per day at 2 chicken for 3 days = 9 eggs
