what does it mean to "serve God"?

like, am I supposed to serve him breakfast in bed, or what?

You are supposed to serve God's children as though they were God and that might include serving meals at a homeless shelter or building shelter with Habitat for Humanity.

To serve God means to do the work for Him out of love. By reading your Bible, telling others about Jesus, to help the poor, help the missionaries. Shake hands with the people coming into your church, handing out bulletins, doing nursery work, taking in a missionary home on leave. Give with your heart, and not with your mind.

To me, it means to blindly follow something, that has not been proven to be real, out of ignorance and fear. And to not develop a mind of your own.
