I also grew up in AG church. My dad being the pastor. It is a pentecostal, denomination, not nondenomination as someone has said.

These are indeed christians that try to follow the teaching of the bible and they are penecostal. Holy Spirit filled christians. Yeat they are poverty minded people for the most part thinking poverty is God will when he in face it the God of more then enoof. Some of them are beginning to break out of the provety bondage thing.
For the most part real good loveing chrisitans, as it should be. Yeat some of them have made church into a routine and are just going thru the motions.

I go to the Assembly of God.We came from the Lutheran into Pentecostal.
We believe that Jesus is God in the flesh.
Salvation only with Jesus
Jesus was
born of a virgin
died on the cross
rose from the dead
coming again
the Holy Ghost is our teacher,comforter,abides with us forever
