i was looking at a photography magazine today and i kept seeing advertisments for memory cards and they all state the speeds of them .
but my question is do they really make a difference. Like the kingston is a very popular line but it isnt as fast as the somethign with a "t" well from what i kno i could be wrong.
but does it even make a noticable difference?

The faster the card writes means the faster you can take the images. If you are shooting fast then yes you need a faster card. If you are shooting product or portraits where you have time in between shots then using a slower card will work.

No. Memory is just a storage device for the image. The image is what's important. The camera lens and the quality of the camera's mechanisms determine the quality of the photo. Of course, the more memory you have in your camera, the more high resolution digital photos you can store in it at one time.
One thing a good memory card can do I guess is store the images faster, so you can take shots in rapid succession. The speed and size of the memory card determines how many of these rapid-sequence shots you can take.
I have taken many pictures of hang gliding lauches (I fly a hang glider) and for those it's really great to have a "fast" camera, because you can study every step in the launch sequence to see any mistakes. But for ordinary, single-shot photos, the lens is more important than how many photos you can store at one time before you have to clear the memory card.

As others have indicated, the quick answer isn't any. even with the undeniable fact that, if you're utilizing a low decision placing as a results of small quantity of memory then having more beneficial memory will assist you to set it to apply the further perfect decision. both way, you is definitely no longer in a position to extend the decision previous what the digital camera is able to by utilizing an greater memory.

for photographers that take RAW (not the jpeg ones) pictures, the write speed of thememory card is important. if your are shooting in continuous shooting mode, you need a memory card which can be written fast. the camera can only store so much number of pictures if your memory card is slow in receiving the pictures from the camera.

true photography is done with a manual slr camera. Any joker can snap a shot with a didg cam then edit it to look presentable, but you have to know your manuals to know how to usu your digital.
