This is a serious question and please don't be offended by it. On this show about relationships they were all talking about having '****' buddies. Now maybe cause I live in Canada and we chill out more, I really can't say I have seen or heard that being truth. I know there are loose people but to have a buddy just for sex , do you believe this is so? Have you or anyone you know been like this? I can't see how you could have sex many times with one person and not get emotionally attached. hmmm

That's the real question, attachment. I have known a few girls who have done that because they have low self esteem and they feel that the man really likes them. Most often in those kind of relationships one person(mostly the woman) get hurt. Insecure women need to know that sex is not the answer to love. To men it is an ideal situation sex and no commitment. I think building confidence should be taught at home and schools if necessary to build women and men up in today's world.

Yeah, it's always a bit more complicated than that. I don't think true **** buddies really exist, it's just that people are insecure and have other problems and so on, but they admit that they don't really love the person they're sleeping with. There are emotions involved, just not traditional love. It's like having someone to have sex with when you're worried about being alone, that kind of thing. I've never done it myself, I have something called porn, but other people... well, it's what floats their boats.

A couple of my friends have them. Some people can do it, and some can't. If people are happy just to use each other for physical reasons without the emotional attatchment then good luck to them. A lot of people just don't have the time for a proper relationship any more, or have been hurt in the past so this is all they want. Not my cup of tea though...

Oh it's definitely true, people do it all the time, I've experienced it myself. Different people put a different amount of emotions into sex. To some it's simply recreational and no deeper than playing a game of cards with another human being.

You are right the F*ck buddy dynamic never works, its always one party being used and abused. Anyone who claims to be satisfied in a situation in which someone uses your body for pleasure while getting away with the friend card has no self-respect.

No, ppl take sex to lightly. I have only had one partner and Im 19(trust me here in the USA, that's very rare) and though he and I are no longer together (he was murdered in 2005) I still love him and would not have given him my body without first have extreme emotions for him.

I had this kind of relationship for several years with a friend. We had to end it because I did end up having feelings for him, which I do think happens a lot of the time.

I totally agree with you. I know there are people that do this but I don't see how they aren't emotionally attached either. I guess good luck to them.

i understand your feelings. i think it's easier for most guys, and the girls probably have steady boyfriends or are married so they don't have to have emotions for that buddy. i personally think its wrong to play with people's emotions.
