I've wondered this myself for a long time. I think the problem lies in people simply not being interested in finding a lifelong mate anymore - everyone is disposable, is the mindset, so why take the time to see people, find the right person, and get to know them?

I completely agree with you on this one. I started "dating again back in July/August. I explained to the guys that I met that I wasn' t looking for a committed relationship and they looked at me with a big grin, but started making all kinds of sexual advances.
I think that it is bad to assume that if a woman is not trying to make you her man that she is sleeping around or isn't worth getting to know. I literally had to leave a couple of men on our "date." I excused myself... no excuses, I just left. Now one guy is calling and apologizing while the other is calling and harrasing me with rude and negative statements.
Why is dating so hard these days? I'm glad that I started dating my ex again...at least we know what to expect from each other and our dates are fun... no strings attached!

Every woman's different. Getting to that first date/ first step is really hard. Half the questions on this forum are from people who are having trouble getting there. This one girl I know is a huge whore, and she's like "So I had sex with this guy a few times, but I'm not sure if I'd like to date him" and I was so offended. I mean, only sluts have that kind of mentality. So once you finally get to that coveted step, you need to claim your man and say you're dating! Women are territorial, and they like to say to their friends "I HAVE A BOYFRIEND!"

Society has changed so much, and with the changing times, we have evolved into a clash of people who like 'variety' and 'non-commitment' while dating, just because more and more people are finding that with what the media and publications portray, about single parents, divorces, multi-partners, things of that nature, it has changed our way of thinking when it comes to dating. I hear about women who go on dates with one guy, just to continue playing the field, and going on other dates, or going out, with someone else, and they like to keep it that way, as a form of control over who they see and where they want to go in a relationship. They just like the freedom of being able to move around.

No I don't think there is any turning back... it has been this way to long now... women can't help but want someone to themselves. Easy way to fix that.. tell them that you just wanna go out and have fun no commitments... I have been dating someone for 2 months now and we just started being serious with each other... make it known it sound dumb but your going to get that forever... every guy we met we hope he is the "one"

Well, some women still date. I think dating can be more convenient because it gives a greater amount of time for people to know each other!

I know! It seems that everyone is doing too much after the first date. Sex etc... Its sickening. Peopl do need to take it back to the beginning. Maybe it would be better relationships. Less diseases. less infedelity and more REAL: Love! I hope you find it!

i do no longer agree. the main severe radical feminists will consistently push the envelope extra effective. as long because of fact the male intercourse nevertheless exists, they are able to have a profound criticism against society. when you consider that lots of them are teachers, they spend maximum of their time conversing to love minded women human beings, perpetuating themselves with the help of helping tenure for the different and instituting speech codes to silence critics. They in no way have the certainty verify that comes from being in an ecosystem the place opposing factors of view coexist.
