I have been taking hair supplements for the past 3 years and here is what I have found.
ProCaps labs makes a great supplement called "Hair Skin and Nails" formula, here is the link for that
http://www.procapslabs.com/pcl/pages/pro...
This is in capsule form and easy to swallow. This company, ProCaps labs is also extremely reputable and carries pure and effective products.
I took GNC's Nourishair for four months, and supplemented it with extra Biotin tablets daily due to its low Biotin content. I took 2500 micrograms extra Biotin with the GNC pills.
The Procaps hair vites have 2500 micrograms of Biotin in them, and don't really require extra Biotin be taken, but I do take an additional 2500 micrograms of Biotin for a daily total of 5000 micrograms of Biotin.
My hair is growing in thick and dark and quite quickly. My hair used to be very slow growing, but all of these supplements have really made a difference.
The only way to really change the health of your hair is by taking supplements that work internally on the follicle where hair is made, any shampoos or oils or other topically applied things do nothing to change hair's structure, that can only happen with systemically provided support, which means supplements that you take internally.. Keep in mind, regardless of how many or how much you take of any supplement, hair is never going to grow at a "Jack and the beanstalk" type of rate, the most you can hope for is to improve the strength and health of each hair follicle and to see an incremental increase in the rate of its growth

Try doing some 'head stimulation'. That's like running extremely warm water over your scalp, when you shower, and push your fingers into your scalp, in small circular motions, for several minutes. You can break this down and do this after you get out of the shower, too. You can do this almost at any given time, but the frequency you do this, will determine how fast your hair grows.
I had my hair cut to a length, just above my shoulders, and after applying the 'head stimulation' process, and nothing more, my hair started growing quite fast, and thicker.
My hair is down, past my butt, now, and it's slowed down some, but for me to get to that point, I had to really work on 'head stimulation' and I even tried 'french braiding' my hair, every day. This also helps your hair grow faster, too.

Eating Gelatin makes the hair and nails grow faster. Its simple - and yummy. Don't expect it to just grow the length you want overnight or in a week.., but it does speed up the process and fairly fast. At least faster than doing nothing.

There is no way to make you r hair grow faster but the way to keep it to grow better is to keep taking care of it by washing it. It will really help!!

Take a daily vitamin not necessarily a prenatal. Eat healthy and get half inch trimmed off every month. It will not grow over night but you will start to notice a difference in 4 or 5 months.

I agree with everyone saying to trim it reularly. If you trim your hair on a regular basis, not too often or too much hair, of course, then I'd think it would grow faster because there would be few to no split ends.

Rogain, Wild Yam and plant sterols, steroids like Testosterone, sex with your boyfriend (natural testosterone hormones in the fluid), drinking lots of coffee, yombie (herb), Root beer or Sarsaparilla, and basically anything that is either synthetic, pure, or stimulates the production of more Testosterone. But, a warning and be careful, too much of these may cause you to become the next "bearded lady"!

open the prenatal vitamins and squeeze out the liquied rub it your hands and then massage it into your hair. massage it for 20 minutes before bed and that will increase blood circulation which will make the hair grow. you can also rest and relax (stress causes it to FALL out) and don't damage it (curl/straighten/use hair products daily. but dont trim it, it will never work, it only causes you to lose more hair

Get it trimmed regularly, don't put too many chemicals in it...don't do too much heat damage to it. Also, eat a lot of protein...peanuts help your nails and hair grow. Also, protect your hair from too much wind, it can cause split ends. Just take care of your hair and you should be fine.
if all else fails, call your hair stylist. if you don't have one,i recommend you get one.
