No. Religion has no place in the workplace so what are you doing talking about it? Keep your religion where it belongs. At home and in your place of worship.
I don't talk about my religion, or my lack of it, with anyone at work. It isn't their business and their are two things that cause battles in this world. Religion and politics. Keep your mouth shut about both of them and you keep the peace.
My work doesn't need to know.

The issue has never come up at any job I have ever worked in my entire life. I have never had a co-worker or employer ask what my beliefs were, if they did I would tell them but otherwise I dont really think about it much. What possible reason could there be for hiding it though?? I dont care what people think of what I believe and I dont care what they believe we each have the right to our own beliefs without prejudice.

If Atheists/Agnostics did haft to hide their beliefs that would be a volition of there rights, I a Agnostic former Catholic do not have a problem with whatever anyone believes.

No and Why should they? Do Christians or catholics hide their religious beliefs at the work place? If they fire you for being Atheist then that would be considered discrimination (if that is why you are asking).

I don't bring it up, but if someone asks me, I'll tell them. I also try to avoid the conversations for a few months when I first start. I've been working at my current job for just over four months, and it's just now starting to come up in conversation.
I do it just because I'm tired of having to defend or explain my beliefs. If someone wants to try and fire me or harass me because of my views, I'll quit before it gets out of hand. I refuse to work for people like that.

In my place of work people didn't discuss religion. About as close as we would get would be if someone mentioned they had gone to church; e.g. "I saw so-and-so in church the other day." So if someone I worked with was an atheist I wouldn't know it & I wouldn't have considered them to have been "hiding" it.

Not usually. But, it depends on the people you work for! you gotta feel them out for a while, or make yourself indispensable first. You would be surprised how prejudice Christians can be, even after knowing you and becoming your "friend" after they find out you don't believe in the big magic man in the sky!

No, but neither are they like Mormons and others who think they have the right to irritate everyone they meet with their beliefs.
