I-140 was filed & recvd by the uscis on sept.1'06. i was told that there's no more visas available for nurses in the philippines, thus the processing was put on hold

i found some info for you , apparently Philippines is the country which provides more nurses than any other to the USA therefor they may cut the number of visas given to nurses of the Philippines . if u already filed hopefully they may still let u come to the USA but it is currently taking longer just like the first answerer said .

No more will be issued until October of 2007.

Don't listen to hear say- It takes along time before you'll hear back it's only been 2 months it can take up to a year before you get notice.
