Yay, another blanket statement!! I was just wondering when I'd find another of those, it's been a whole 3 minutes since I saw a good one. Thanks so much!

We don't claim to know everything. We especially don't claim to have intimate knowledge of an invisible, unprovable, fact and evidence defying deity. We don't claim to know more than what we can see, hear, touch or see evidence of.

Can you say the same?

Thank you very much for your comments. It may seem like we know everything but there are things that even Atheists don't know. Questions that boggle the mind like " How do people come up with some of the ignorant questions that are asked on Yahoo answers?"

Atheist have never claimed to know everything. Only, the things they DO know happen to be more likely than a big magic man in the sky

Nobody knows everything, but at least some people think for themselves and it's amazing the things you find when you look through your own eyes and not live with blinkers on! Put that book down for a minute and ask the question..."What if just maybe...it's all just made up?" Now there's a scary thought!!!!

No one ever said that.

In fact, why do you think so many people put their trust in science? Because science allows you to ask questions and search for a factual answer instead of decieve itself into thinking a 2000 year old book has all the answers.

We do? That's news to us. Why would I bother going after a career as a research scientist if I already knew everything?

However, it may SEEM as though we know everything because we are open to investigating reality, whereas many religions try to deny reality exists, therefore limiting your exposure to it.

No one knows everything, but I think a lot of Athiests (sp?) are pretty smart. The ones that are neutral on the subject of religion anyways.

Atheist do not claim to know everything, more so they do not claim to know what there is no proof of ,there is nobility in that. Religions claim to know what is unknowable.

Perhaps it is more a matter of being a brand of rationalist that one is convinced that if he or she does not know of it, then it does not exist. So the inference is made that he or she knows everything.
