not necessarily, he could mean he loves you as a friend.
if he loved you romantically, he would say it to your face!

hahaha, I said that all the time to this one guy, and he thought I did like him(which I did, but after a while).I think it would depend on the guy, cuz yeah I don't know, it's just wierd, you just know when he means it...Yeah, you just know

It depends on how he meant it. It could of been friend or he could like you. Think about the way he used it.
