Ok, now listen to me: if worrying ever solved anything, then I'd say go for it, worry all you want.

But, it doesn't! Nothing ever got fixed, or changed, or solved, by worrying. All it does is give you a headache/stomachache/keep you awake at night and stress you out.

So...stop it! I know this sounds very simplistic, but it is so true!!

Happy holidays!!

Hi! You're right, constant worrying is not good for your health.
I know, as I was a terrible worrier myself. Then I heard the following things.
"Has anything I worried about ever happened?". My answer was no. "Would all the worrying in the world stop something from happening?". My answer was no. And most profound of all that helped me was, The Lord asked "Will worrying add years to your life"? The Lord also said "Lay all your worries and cares upon me". So, I do. I hope what helped me helps you, too! Good Luck! And God Bless!

i used to worry a lot too. but then i realized that there is no point. it gets you no where and helps nothing. If you waste your time worrying, you waste your life away. and really, in the big picture, the things that people worry about don't even matter. just live your life and take things as they come. i have come to realize that once i started to just take things rather than fight them or worry about them, life has become a lot easier. i used to worry about everything and i wasted a lot of energy on it.. i was completely drained all of the time. now that i just casually take problems as they come and step back and look at the situation as a whole and look at how it will really effect me rather than immediately just freaking out, i'm a lot better off. and i hope the same can happen for you. best wishes.

Please don't worry about things, even when it seems impossible. My mother is a complete worry wart and it almost killed her. She had ulcers and one of them started bleeding. She had blood coming out of both ends. When I called the ambulance, she was minutes away from dying. They ended up cutting half of her stomach out and she was miserable. She is fine today, but as you can see, worrying can really make matters worse. Take deep breaths, or look on the bright side of life. Sometimes we worry about things that we can't control or just weren't meant to be. So if things don't always go your way, it's probably Gods way of protecting you. If you still worry too much, go to the doctor and see if he can prescribe you something to keep you calm. Good Luck!

Stay as busy as possible.
Taking up an activity such as dance lessons or work out at a gym, is a very good way.

I heard this once and loved it:
If you can DO something about it, why worry?

If you CAN'T do anything about it, why worry?

Worrying is a useless emotion.

Physical activity helps a lot.

Exercise, fresh air, good sleep at night, proper & healthy eating. Journalling helps, especially if you get in a habit of writing down things you are grateful for. Helping others is great too, gets you thinking about them rather than yourself. Old folks in nursing homes often have no visitors and love company to talk with or play cards.

I think you should pray that God delivers you from a worrying spirit. If your not into praying it wont hurt to try zoloft to calm you down. Set up an appointment with a doc or get spiritual counseling from trustworthy and positive professionals.
To me Prayer and medication are the best remedies. Take care!

First confront yr fears.
Normally we worry out of fear --- what will the outcome be? if such & such things happen etc....
So analyse what u are worrying abt, Then think of the outcomes/results .
Face the results and see what could be the worst thing to ever happen and then work out the strategies to overcome the result/outcome..
Once u have it all worked out in yr head, u will relax & stop worrying ---- cause u will know hw to deal with it in case the fear comes out to be true,
Relax then & have a good sleep --- u will wake up fresh & tension free.
good luck.

Try to go on a mini vacation to the mall, park, or on a hike. Try and think about other things that does not relate to the topic you are worrying about. Also try taking a soothing bath. That is always suppose to relax you and get your mind off things.

the only way to stop worry is to start doing something.
the moment you engage yourself in an activity, your mind will divert its attention to the task at hand.
try to keep your day busy with things that you like to do.
remember that worry will not get you anywhere, instead work on the thing you are worrying about and make attempt to solve it.
