We Christians don't think we are any better than anyone else. We are taught that Christianity is the only real way for everlasting life. Jesus didn't come here and die for nothing, He died for our sins. We feel Muslims have been led to believe the wrong things and we are only trying to help them to know what is real. The Gospel of Jesus is real. They say Islam is the only way, but yet when someone shows us something they don't like out of the koran, they get upset to the point of anger. We Christians don't get angry if Muslims don't believe us or show us a Bible verse that sounds a little rough. We instead try to tell them what it means. I am sure I will get many thumbs down for this answer, by mostly Muslims, but it is my opinion and the truth.
By the way, the verse in Deut. 17:5 is in the Old Testament. Now read what the New Testament says.

Well, first of all. I want to mention that I don't understand why the OT is not applicable when it comes to references. Just references, not actually using it as a guide to life. Didn't Jesus say that he didn't come to abolish the old law, but to fulfill it.

And another thing, a lot of the answers about seem to be generalizing. 'We Christians do not take offense. We try to explain and reason'. 'We are more civilized'. 'We have room for change'. [sounds like the asker is getting his question answered =D ]

Now, to whoever said that 'Muslim leaders seem to declare war and sanctioning killing of infidels' May I know who this great leader is? Are you talking about Osama? Saddam? Just to update your information, I'll let you know that those aren't the greatest Islamic leaders, or figures. In fact, i won't consider them leaders at all. So I don't know why you would cite their actions to justify an entire religion!!!

Should I cite Pope Nicholas V views on slavery to say that Christians believe in slavery.

My message: Don't judge. Period.

The Bible says to do a lot of violent things Christians don't do because Western civilization had ethics before it had Jesus. The primary problem I see with Islam is that it is used a a replacement for and determinant of ethics, something religions are notoriously unsuited for.

First the Bible came before the Koran. Where there are similarities between the Bible and the Koran there is strong suspicion that these were copied to the Koran. So Christians have the original Word of God. Christians live by grace and truth and have entered into their rest if they accept and live out God's offer. Muslims have to please and obey their Allah by their own efforts. Christians have a God that lives in them to guide and empower them. Muslims have to make out it on their own and their Allah is not in them. Christians have a God of love but Muslims have a God of fate.

No it is not the matter . I am a muslim and i always THANK GOD for being a muslim. I think i am a lot better than christians. As i follow true teachings of BIBLE and QURAN. And everyone knows that Quran is not revised every year. It is bible which comes in different forms every year. So I must not follow any of the teachings wirtten in the bible as those are not in their original form. But i must follow the QURAN as it is truth and genuine.

Jesus never said that. Jesus was a man of peace who told us to love our neighbor. It seems that the spiritual leaders of Islam tell their followers to go to war and kill infidels. So which seems the better path to you? And if God is Love, which it true to His message?

Everybody but Muslims thinks Christians are better than Muslims, even us atheists. It's because Christians are willing to adapt to change, they don't burn witches much any more, and they don't persecute gays and oppress women and much as they used to. You could learn a thing or two from them.

Simply put, because Christians think they are better than anyone else who doesn't share the same beliefs they do. And you'll get a heap of them denying this, but if they were to stop for 2 seconds and actually think about it, they'd have no choice but to admit it. They feel they're right, the rest of the world is wrong and will burn in hell, and they are somehow special.

Christians notoriously are the most intolerant out of every religious sect there is, that's old news.

I don't think Christian thinks that they are batter than anyone. You can't really say this because only God can judge and we are but travellers in this world. No one is batter that anyone. Besides, why do you think that Christian thinks they are batteer than Muslim?

O.K. How about we all agree that both groups suck equally as bad and then we'll all go out for a burger or something?
