I'm currently looking for an amazing boutique resort in the Caribbean that has an all-inclusive option for my wedding. Preferably, I would like to have the ceremony on a cliffside overlooking the ocean, rather than in the sand. It's very important for travel expenses (airfare & hotel) to be affordable for my guests to come. I would like to keep it around $1,000/person if possible - or I fear not that many people will come! Other preferable amenities are great food, spa services, great service in general, private beach access if not situated directly on the beach, water activities/tours (i.e. cruise for guests around the island), and it would also be great to be able to fly directly into the island - has to have its own airport. :) Right now, I'm trying to stay away Jamaica, Dominican Republic & Puerto Rico - and Mexico. Also, I think the U.S. & British Virgin Islands will be too expensive. Any suggestions? Other islands: St. Lucia, Bahamas, Grand Cayman, St. Kitts, Barbados,et

Right now, Punta cana, Dominican republic is the best place to go for that, nice, unexpensive, and I'm sure you will have the best time of your life there. http://www.bookit.com/

I respect the fact you want to stay around a certain budget for your guests. The other thing to is not everyone is going to either want or can afford to go for a full week and that rules out St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Barbados. For the record I do not work on commission so my answers on not based on that in any way. Travel IS up in 2007 much more over 2006 so that to will play a factor into your options. Also when you plan on getting married, are there charters from your city, how far in advance you and your guest’s book because prices increase as availability decreases.

Cayman is VERY expensive so I would cross that off as well. Bahamas might be doable, but off what you list that is the only one I foresee as a "maybe". The 3 places you said no to, Jamaica, Mexico and Dominican Republic are going to BE the top choices if price is a big factor.

Depending on which airport you are flying out of is going to determine if it is non-stop and please mind you for an All Inclusive 2,000 US dollars really doesn't go all that far.....then again it depends on how long you are wanting to do and stay within 2,000. A lot is going to be how much airfare is and the rating of the hotel you choose. Keep in mind that hotels internationally are not the same rating scale as in the US. So a 3 star there is not like a 3 star here at all. I have booked hundreds of destination weddings so in this info I speak from personal experiences of weddings I have coordinated for couples.

Destination Weddings can be difficult to coordinate alone. I would strongly suggest finding a destination wedding specialist in your area to help you with the planning. Please do me a favor to, don't use an agent for info only to just book on your own. If you find a good agent we really do work VERY hard for you in finding the best we can for not only what you want for a wedding location, but within reason of budget.

Best of Luck to you and congrats on your engagement!

I love membership med. They are as luxurious as any of the opposite ones however they only fairly get the situation going. They have youngster systems and younger grownup systems so the youngsters can all catch up with youngsters their age and so they get counselors assigned to their organization and so they get them to do stuff like trapeeze and appearing, dancing, making a song, skits, ect. and do them within the nightly indicates for the visitors. They have contests and tri-athelons to win prizes, ect. You will even pass on their web site and ship e mail on your favourite councelors after you have got visited. Club Med is an enjoy, no longer simply an all-inclusive ... Grounds are first-rate and blank and the staff are from in all places the arena, cheery and a pride. We went to breezes ( In Curacao') and it was once terrible. The staff simply complained on and on approximately how they were not paid sufficient and the residing stipulations had been unhealthy... How do you revel in your excursion while your status at the buffet line looking to console the staff. There is NO FUN in being unhappy for men and women. Food was once unhealthy. BAD. I imply in case your within the caribbean you wish contemporary end result and contemporary fish. Sponge muffins for desolate tract and red meat stew isn't what's island meals. It is canned crap shipped from in different places. YUCK! Nothing was once contemporary. Fruit must be fress, no longer from a can. The rooms had been soiled too. We stayed in an ocean entrance suite and it was once slimey at the ground and the sheets had been wore out and over used. Beaches is first-rate however for more youthful youngsters. Not teenagers...more youthful. Place was once blank (mexico) and staff had been very first-rate.

Better economic solution: Take a cruise. The prices are way below $1000. The ship will do everything. Some cruises are below $500. Most can be had between $500-700. It includes everything: Food, entertainment, lodging, transportation...airfare is extra. Besides, with enough people you can get a group rate.
