It means that he approves of your interest in a woman who is part of YOUR little denomination. It's snotty, really.

Hmmm, I'm not sure how to take that. Perhaps he meant that it's good that you like someone who's in the church, instead of someone who doesn't go to church. Or perhaps he meant that you should just keep your relationship as fellow church-goers and nothing more.
If it's the latter which he meant, I must disagree with him. Why not ask someone out that you like? Unless he knows something you don't about her. Who knows. Maybe you should ask him.

Perhaps there is something about this woman that the Pastor knows and he is trying to protect you.
OR
He could just be a control freak and is trying to control your life.

Ask the pastor to clarify what he meant by that comment.
It might mean several different things.
On the other hand, why not just make friends with that woman?

One possibility is that the pastor doubts your sincerity as a Christian, and so you have to prove that you are not in the church just to look for chicks but for Christ, not attracted by "you, Sis" but by Jesus! :)

I am clueless. That sounds strange.Maybe only see her at church.
That is none of his business.Talk to her ,see how she feels.
If I know women, she will be glad you did. Even if she is not interested in you,she will be flattered.
For me ,I would hate to think my pastor stuck his nose in my life.
I love my pastor, but that is not his place.
God help you on this, but talk to her.<><

Its called CONTROL, Tim, and is what the churches have been doing for the past 2000 years. You might want to give this some thought.
