In some clubs, tipping is mandatory. How you tip depends on the regulations...you can either put the bill (folded long-ways) in her g-string or on the table. Some state's require tips to be placed in a jar (really takes the fun out of it :/).
Just watch what other customers are doing.

if you paid 20 bucks for the lapdance you shouldnt have to tip during it, thats what the 20 bucks for is in the first place, if you just want to sit on the tables where the poles are right infront of the dancers, then you have to keep on tipping throughout. So make sure you got lots of singles handy! You cant ask the strippers for change! hahahahaha

Let the dancer do the work. Do not grind against her. Don't eat while she's doing her stuff. That'd be a little on the rude side. Don't offer her food. That's not part of the deal. As for touching, there are rules about that which differ from place to place. I would imagine that the rules are posted for all to see. If they're not, then the dancer will be quick to tell you. Just lean back and enjoy the experience.

Ummm.......Dude! Etiquette at a strip bar!!! Ok, hummm...let's see: Make sure you find out if the Bar has a "No Touch"rule, you don't want Bubba to kick you out after rubbing a finger across her Tulips or bloom'in onion.
Fold your bills longwise so you can slip them in the G-String or thong.
Wear boxer underware so she can wonder if you smuggled a Hillshire Farm Sausage down there.
Keep your Money close to you!!!! There are some Strippers that will steal, according to what bar you're going to. Put it in your shirt pocket or wear some cargo pants, slide your hand down your side leg pocket to retrieve your bills for tipping.
Don't get too drunk, but drunk enough to have a Light head. If you're too drunk, then you're a target and you've already spent your rent money for next month.
So yes, you can tip during or after her dance. Just have fun and if the Stripper offers you little pills or pink cookies, JUST SAY NO!!!
Class Dismissed. And ENJOY!!!!

You don't have to tip. The 20 dollars for the lap dance is enough.

The girl will let you know when she wants her money. Lap dances are not free and tips are not optional. Try getting a free one and you will find yourself promptly bounced out onto the pavement.

I use to be in the profession -(not proud of it)
If you must go, and you must get a dance...its not expected to tip during the dance, of course its okay to do...but the twenty you pay before or after the dance, up to the dancer.

You usually have to pay for the lap dance so if your a cheapskate you don't have to tip but if the stripper is hot and she makes ya all tingly then yes you should tip her when she is done.

Have a supply of bills on hand. Give your dancer a tip from time to time as she performs. It encourages more pleasing "dancing".

I don't think it is proper etiquette to use the words "etiquette" and "lap dance" in the same sentence.
