I have crooked bottom teeth(the front three), and two of my wisdom teeth have gone bad...but I am too embarassed to go to the dentist and tell him the whole situation on why it is like that. I didn't take good care of them when I was a kid cause you know how kids are sometimes...neglectful!

Don't worry about this. We hear the same story every day of the week and this is what we DO. MANY people did not have it so good in their childhood and find themselves in the same situation as you. It's just a good thing that you recognize this and are now ready and able to take care of things.

It's normal to feel embarrassed about that. My bottom tooth is very crooked because my teeth shifted and broke my retainer--my orthodontist didn't believe in removing teeth (except wisdom teeth) to make room for other teeth, and my mouth is too small.

This is what you should remember: the dentist has always seen worse. I was once embarrassed to go in about a tooth that I had let go and I almost needed a root canal. However, my dentist was so nice and he helped me out!

The next patient had about 12 cavities and very bad teeth. The man could hardly speak English, had no insurance, and a labor job. I felt so bad for him, but my dentist was very patient and kind. I could tell that the guy was embarrassed. I felt so bad for him!

Just remember, they have always seen worse!

No not at all. Well of course you'll feel like that because its an insecurities butt basically its just a flaw. A flaw that can be fixed. Dentist have seen ALL types of teeth so the only thing you should be worried about is having them corrected. Would you feel more insecure by going to a dentist and having it fixed or by living with your teeth that way for the rest of your life?

Fix your teeth because they will only get worse. I know it is so easy to put off going to the dentist, but you will be better off in the long run if you do something about it now. I just buckled down and went to the dentist last month and the dentist found 3 cavities. I have one more to fill and if he said if I waited any longer I would need root canals! When it comes to dental work, the sooner the better! And trust me, you may think your teeth are bad, but I am sure they see it everyday!

I had 2 abscesses final twelve months, ingredient with the aid of ingredient. parents on no account took me to dentist as a baby, different than as quickly as, for a bad journey over an extraction. That basically made me concern going to the dentist much greater. as quickly as the antibiotics have been taken for 10 days, I have been given them the two pulled. instant relief! Now i'm interior the comparable boat you're, I even have commonly undesirable tooth on appropriate ingredient, can infrequently consume, sense drained and achy all of the time. could choose to discover a dentist that would not attempt and shame me into spending hundreds i've got not got doing root canals and crowns to save them some greater years and purely get them out. stable luck! i'm confident getting them pulled would be a lot much less painful than coping with the undesirable tooth like ours all of the time. enable me comprehend the way it is going!

I wouldn't be embarrassed they see it all the time. I hadn't been to the dentist for 8 years and they were very friendly and made me feel comfortable. I was fearing the dentist and I wish I would have went sooner. I hope you have insurance because it will be expensive with out it.

You should not feel embarrassed. A dentist is there to serve you, that's his job. He will not mind no matter how bad they are, the worse they are the more money he will make.
Its like going to the gynecologist, whether its one end or the other,
a doctor is a doctor, their specialties are just different.
Go now, if you wait, it could lead to gum disease, and then you really will have problems. just think of how self conscious you have always been, now, think of how proud you will be. i bet you are smiling-get going, you deserve it! merry christmas-
