We just bought the ilo 42" plasma and the picture is awful - it's so grainy. We don't have the HD receiver/programming because it's just too much money right now - but we were hoping the picture would be more clear. Any suggestions?

Refer to your owner's manual. However, you may just have to
wait until you get the HD receiver and/or an HD DVD player or
Blu-Ray Disc player.

THERE'S REALLY NO POINT INVESTING IN A HDTV IF YOUR NOT WILLING TO PAY FOR HDTV SERVICE. THAT SAID, THERE ISN'T A LOT OF HD TO WATCH. BUT DIGITAL CABLE/SATELLITE IS PRETTY MUCH ESSENTIAL.
YOU DON'T SAY HOW CLOSE YOU SIT IN FRONT OF YOUR TV. EVEN THE BEST TV WITH THE BEST SERVICE WILL LOOK GRAINY IF YOUR SITTING RIGHT IN FRONT OF IT. ONLY A HD-DVD/BLURAY DISC ON A 1080p TV WILL PASS THAT TEST! YOU MAY NEED A SMALLER TV.

you have a weak signal, try getting a signal booster. If that doesn't work take it back and get a LCD TV, you won't have a problem with the plasma evaporating, and having to pay more than you paid for the TV to have it refilled.
