yes ... and contrary to what others have said that shingles are not transferable, it is. A person who has shingles can actually cause chickenpox in a person who has not had it before.

no you cannot spread chicken pox if you've had it. only people that has not experience chicken pox to avoid it. if you have chicken pox at a old age, it is more lethal. i suggest if you are in your 30s and up, stay away from your children or whoever with chicken pox. it could turn into a serious matter.

YES!!! and here's why:
Chicken pox is caused by a virus. After we have chicken pox for the first time, our bodies create antibodies to counteract this virus, which causes most people to not suffer from the virus more than once.
HOWEVER!
Once you have been exposed to the virus again, say, going to see a sick friend with chicken pox, that virus can enter your body system and you would have no effects from it. The fact remains, the virus is there, and can be easily transferred to others through sneazing, coughing, and touching. Yes, you can spread the virus that causes chicken pox after you have built an immunity to it, even without knowing.

I don't think you can spread chicken pox if you've had it before because the disease would be dead in you. It would not have the power to infect someone else.

Chickenpox is a highly contaigous disease, probably one of the most contaigous. However, it is only transmissible shortly before and up to the end of the active rash period. Once the vesicles start to scab over, you have pretty much hit the end of the infectious period. After that period, you are immune and won't catch it again. Thus, you can't spread it anymore.
Shingles, which is a outbreak of chickenpox that happened to go dormant in one of your nerves, is not contaigous.
