I did a Christmas video today with a bunch of co-workers and they called me a "ham." I have no idea what that means.

A ham is somebody who loves to put on a show. Hamming it up, means to act up for the attention of others.

Modelling is serious and restrictive ;doing hours of tireless and repititious movements. Being a " ham" is more of a Center stage personality. Where you like to entertain by making yourself noticed in a good way. Have you tried a few nights at a yuk yuks. Or better yet volunteer some centre stage fun at the Giggle Dam dinner and theatre house in Port Coquitlam . There on stage you would get all the attention you as a " ham " would need.

It means someone who overacts, but it is as often used in an affectionate way.

Originally it meant a second-rate actor, who couldn't afford fancy stuff like cold cream to get his makeup off. He had to use the fatty skin of a real ham -- that is, the kind used as food -- to provide the necesary crease to get righ of it.

Lol, awww well its not a bad thing. Being called a "ham" is another way of saying you're funny. You're a crack up, a jokster, etc.

Just like the first answerer said; to put on a performance; usually exaggerated to command attention.

An over the top, overly dramatic actor or actress, but it is sometimes used in fun. You must be young to be unfamiliar with the term!

you love to be the center of attention and when you have your attention, u r really good at keeping the attention, because everyone wants to see what u r gonna do next!

basically it means that u r entertaining, and u r really fun to be around.

They are probably cannibalistic and are considering you as food. I would stay away from those people and defintely don't ever accept an invitation to dinner. You could be on the menu!!!
