The meaning of life is to glorify God and to enjoy a relationship with him forever. We are to draw others to him by setting the example by the way that we live in obedience to him.

The Church's Catechism is pretty clear. Most Confessions of Faith or Articles of Religion in Christian thought include this or something like it:
What is the chief end of man?
Man’s chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy him forever.

In this life we are called to be love and give love, not like so many who misuse the word, love, but to love without pretense or need or desire, but to freely give our love to whomever our Father brings into our lives. This type of love knows no anger or remorse, but simply gives love without asking.

Sometimes I wonder myself, but I do know we are here to serve God and to follow Jesus and do our best so that we can have everlasting life for eternity. We have to be here first to see how worthy we are and what kind of faith we are willing to have to get to Heaven.
