after they give you a nice gesture such as a smile,is that generally giving them the attitude that you din't like them?I did this to someone because i don't trust her and know what her motives for giving me the smile were.There was some tension not too long ago between us....But she tried to resolve it and i was so pissed that i just didn't really communicate with her....

Wow, it sounds like you still have some hurt feelings that have not been resolved here. Especially if you don't know if you can trust her, you don't need to "play nice". If it comes up between the two of you later, you can always explain that you are still dealing with some feelings from (whatever wrong) happened, and need some time and space before you can be friends again.

When you walk away from this person - you are supposed to fart loudly - that way she knows exactly how you feel about her.
