don't worry. come clean. omg i failed my social studies test and she was ok b/c i asked for an alternave. i have a D in S.S. now but...just tell her. I met my BFF on the internet and she was fine. COME CLEAN, MAN!

open up with "mom you love me right?" and "promise me you wont be mad" then "it isnt a permenent grade you know" and end with "it will go up i just need more work to balance it out" and maybe if you think she wouldnt care "blame the nerds for throwing the curve" but i doubt that will be any good.

most parents will understand unless she is a psycho

tell her the truth! tell her you will study harder and make sure you do it!!! but if you studied your best and got 60% average, then tell your mum you did your best and the next time you don't understand, you will ask her for help

if you are guilty, which i figure you are, the easiest way is to apologize that you haven't been studying much and to promise and reassure your mum that you'll study harder in subsequent years (and make sure you put in extra effort, k?)

Tell her the highest in class in 65% average.

That way she'll know you did well enough...
