Love is an evolutionary development to keep couples together to increase the survival chances of offspring. Unfortunately it usually is one sided and between incompatible individuals so is most often unrequited. The more emotionally committed side typically gets dumped and the pain begins. Believe it or not there has been work and progress on a drug that pharmaceutically erases love. Oh how great that will be!

because it is an emotion that plays with the very essence of humanity the reproduction of the species. every time one is rejected it is a strike at that urge to mae more little humans.
