I have indoor cat's. I find it somewhat annoying when my family and I are asleep and they wake us up with thier loud meowing. I try hushing at them but that doesn't seem to work What can I do?

My cat does this too, because he only wants attention at night. Maybe try giving him alittle midnight snack(soft cat food, or treats). In the worst case pet him for a few minutes, and that could quiet him up.

really, i'm no longer quite quite confident what to inform you. i'd call the vet and tell him what's occurring. If she has been spayed at present, that ought to probable have some thing to do with it. Is she interior the room with you at the same time as she cries? often times at evening, cats can sense lost and lonely interior the darkish, questioning the position did anybody bypass. So she may in a experience, only be searching for you, and needing some interest. Your cat is quite youthful for this, yet often times as cats age, they'll grow to be evening blind, and commence to cry because they can't see, and do not understand the position everybody is. 2 is particularly youthful for that, even with the undeniable fact that it ought to probable be her eye sight.

Try any or all of the following:

1. In a stern hushed voice, "(insert cat's name)! QUIET!"
2. Get out of bed, walk over to the cat, bend down, shake your finger at the cat and repeat step 1. You may want to add different scolding terms, and your cat won't understand what you are saying, but will get the message.
3. Call your cat to come to bed in a loving, caring baby voice, asking the cat what the matter is. (Usually, this one works the best.)

Repeat as necessary.

Do you perhaps,have female cats?
No offensive, but sometimes, the female of the species can drive
you bonkers with they're yowling.
My parents used to raise Siamese. The females would drive you
crazy when in season.

If they are not neutered/spayed, that may be the answer to your problem. I hope it's that simple.
