I have the option of purchasing from my Bank carbonless duplicate, carbonless triplicate, and Single deposit tickets. Would getting single be fine as its cheaper?

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Just get singles, or none. Carbonless forms are the white, yellow, pink forms that you see where you write on the top copy and due to pressure the writing transfers to the other copies. They are the standard now, but are called carbonless because the old way of making these types of duplicates was to put a thin piece of carbon in between the sheets. Just get direct deposit from your work. If you make any other deposit, just keep the receipt that the teller or ATM gives you.

A checkbook with duplicates means that each check has a carbonless copy so each written check automatically has a copy of it to keep in the book. This can help with recordkeeping but, when you choose this option, you can expect to pay more and get fewer checks per box. If you choose single checks, you will not get a copy of each one, but you can usually save some money.

I say go for the carbonless duplicates. That way, you have a record of anything you deposit automatically. I've worked at a number of banks, and those duplicates can eliminate a lot of confusion, even for people who are usually good about balancing their checkbook.

yes, as long as you retain your receipt of deposit for each deposit into your account for your records... the original deposit slip goes to the bank if you want a copy of that to keep with your receipt of deposit then get duplicate, but it does nothing more than give you a copy... it never proves you actually deposited money, the receipt does that
