I'm 18 now. But in the 7th grade I began having depression, not bad enough to notice but it was there. In the 8th grade I began hurting myself by using an eraser to erase my skin. 9th grade I tried to commit suicide. But for the next year a half after that I was fine. But around the end of my junior year I was starting to get depressed again and only just recently things have gotten horrible. I was told that I might have hyper vigilance by my psych prof. which means I hear and see things but don't have schitz. But just recently I looked at my dog and spaced and when I came to I was trying to drown her in the tub and the night before I was planning on how to commit suicide. I'm scared to just sit and think anymore, I won't go to bed until I'm exhausted because I don't want to lie awake and let myself think. What should I do? Whats going on? I'm terrified of myself.

You need to go to the hospital and have what is called an intake evaluation. They will check you out and either admit you or set you up for an appointment with a doctor... you need to get help. You are a threat to yourself and others at this point. There are medications and treatments out there to help you lead a normal life. It may take a while still before you feel "normal" but the sooner you seek treatment, the sooner that will be. Don't be afraid- even though I know you are. If you don't want to go alone, ask one of your parents or even a friend to go with you. Good luck.

Your self-esteem must have been greatly affected during your school years. Have you ever talked to your parents about it? I know it would probably be awkward. I mean your parents would keep on nagging and nagging but they really LOVE you. Don't do anything silly please. You've got a whole life ahead of you. Just keep breathing and you'll get through. No matter what, Time wil definitely heal your wounds and you just need to hang on. Meditate and be conscious of yourself. Read this below:
When your arm is broken, you go to a doctor.
When your teeth aches, you visit the dentist.
When your vision is getting blurred, you visit the opician.
But what would you do if your heart's sick( I dont mean literally)?
Different people have different ways to cure their hearts. Some like me, eat chocolate. Others socialise, doing volunteer work, hoping helping others would bring them back joy or just hang out with their best mates.
But the worst thing to do is to ignore it. Ignoring it means you are ignoring your pain in this world. People blame God for being unfair. But aren't you the one making things unfair? You have a good life. You have a dog as your companion. Talk to him if you want to even if its stupid. Wouldn't it be a waste if you just die. You have the ability to do great things like many others. You know Albert Einstein once said Bad things are happening not because there are lots of bad people in this world. Its because the good people are standing by a side doing nothing. Dont coop up at home any longer. Go find someone you can talk to. Be it the church, temple or whichever you want. It doesnt matter which religion you are in now. The important thing is to save your life. Go seek spiritual help like meditating on your own, yoga. Every life in this world is necessary to help make the world a better place.Just remember if you kill yourself, you're taking away one life from this world too, even if its your own.

Been there, done similar. No longer though. Depression can get downright nasty and do strange things to you.
This is really serious and you need to act now. Make sure your pets are going to be taken care of and call 911. Explain what you told us here and tell them you need help NOW.
Trust me on this. No matter how bad this may sound, you are not insane, nor likely to get there as long as you deal with it. Doctors today have a lot of choices to help you through this mess and they can do it quickly so you can get a real life back.
I was in a black pit with no way out, or at least that is the way it seemed. I forced myself to get help. I do not have depression any more and have not for years. The medicine was temporary and I do not have to take that any more. I have been free of it for over 30 years.
Just get the help, you will get better.

If you have parents that you can talk to and trust, you need to tell them about it. Do you have grandparents or older friends or other relatives that you look up to and value their advice? Talk to them! You need medical help but you also need people to talk to who will listen. If you are scared at night is there someone who will sit with you and keep you company? Can you read something to keep your mind focused on something you are interested in? I think anything you can do to keep your mind on something positive is a good thing, the more you worry the more you may bring on the fear (I have had terrible fear before also, not the same way you do, but absolutely horrible, if I could get through 5 minutes without it I would feel very thankful for that, I am on some medication now which I have been on for quite a while and now, when I have fear is quite rare and I can get myself out of it). If you believe in God try prayer or reading the bible and going to church.
Keep in mind that there will be an answer to your problem! and while you are looking for the answer things may be difficult but you will get beyond it, and you need to try and take control of your mind while this is happening and even if you have to turn on the TV and get interested in home shopping, believe me anything you can get your mind on that is harmless and will stop you from thinking of the things you are afraid of will help.
and remember, you are not alone!
Take care of yourself and God Bless.
(Sorry if I rambled, it is late a night)

Don't wait for a doctors appointment. Don't wait for Jesus to save you. GET yourself to the hospital emergency room right now. this has gone on way too long. You do need help. I don't think Prozac is the answer but there is definetly some very good medications that are available to you. Get to the doctors right now so you can sleep peacefully. Treatment is available and will help you.

1. Pray like you've never prayed before.
2. Find some kind of over-the-counter sedative so you can get some sleep.
3. See a psychologist and get medication.
4. Hang in there. This too shall pass
If you're a believer, this is God trying to strengthen you. If you're not, it's God trying to get your attention.
Either way, when it's all over, the very grass beneath your feet will seem greener and the sun will shine brighter than you can ever remember.

You are having some serious and frightening symptoms. I think you need to contact a mental health professional because this is not something you want to let go and get worse. It sounds like you are a danger to both yourself and others right now. Reach out, get help. This can be dealt with, you can feel better, it is not hopeless.

Yes, you definitely need to get help soon. If you have a family doctor, please call them and ask for a referral or a recommendation of a psychiatrist. When you make your calls, you might want to tell them how critical your situation has been lately. Meanwhile, if you think of suicide again, you should try this number:
1-800-SUICIDE or 1-800-784-2433 - - - I think they have volunteers to talk to people 24/7.

Just try this, it's a hunch... say whoever is in you to LEAVE, it is not their body, they're actually dead.
I can think of no better explanation for this business of drowning the dog... that perhaps someone other than yourself is responsible.
It's not much to worry about, most people have some attached spirits... so the theory goes.

If you don't like the idea of seeing a psychiatrist a clinical psychologist may be the place to begin, but either way it sounds like you are in need of professional help.
