People tend to leave too many distracting elements in photos, but I was looking for something to give this some scale so I could figure out what I was actually looking at. I'd like a bit more tonal range, also. This is almost a posterization, which doesn't work well when the subject is practically monotone in the first place.

Just my opinion.

I took a look at a few of your photo's if they are all yours you do very nice work. Maybe try adding a little hint of blue streaks in the water. Is it for a contest? You have many many great photo's I don't think you need any ones advise. I am a professional photographer and I do know how you can burn out from trying to be creative. I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed looking at your work. Keep it up!!!

If it was my picture, I'd begin by increasing the "gamma" and trying for more mid tones. The pic seems too contrasty , to me. Then, I'd decrease the saturation, a little, and make it a little less intense.

I'd say you have a good eye for composition.

I like it the way it is but maybe black & white or soften the tone & crop some of the edges so there isn't so much sand.
