Yes I have bangs and I have had them since I was 4. I am currently 13 and I have no acne anywhere but my forehead. I wash my bangs nightly and clean my forehead what else can I do to get rid of them?

Read the ingredients of your shampoo and conditioner...they could have silicone..which clogs pores. If it has anything with the suffix "--ethicone" then throw it out and find something without it. One common ingredient is dimethicone that is added to "coat the hair adding to manageability and softness." Gee, that is great, but I would rather have clear skin.

You can find more natural shampoos/conditioners at places like Whole Foods and Trader Joe's -- but you can find some silicone free shampoos at the drug store. They will be more expensive. I use either Trader Joe's or Nexus. Nioxin and other salon brands are good guesses..but to be sure just read the ingredients!

You probably have oily hair. You may not notice it but that is probably the reason. You would be best to wash/shower in the morning with a gentle shampoo for oily hair. Then wash your face as usual. The problem you have is sleeping all night as the oils build and then brushing in the morning which spreads the oils through to the tips. Then off you go and your bangs are rubbing your forehead all day long and into the evening with oils. Seriously, try shampooing in the morning and a face wash before bed. Maybe a little astringent too if you are not too sensitive to it. I bet that will help.

You are probably clogging the pores with hair spray/products.
When you spray, hold up a piece of paper in front of your forehead, but under you hair, so the spray only touches your hair. Let it dry before moving the paper.
You might want to try an enzyme or glycolic cleanser to help break up all the yucky thats stuck in there.

to get rid of them fast.... clean and clear advantage acne spot treatment!!! wow, this works litterally, overnight. the zits are smaller the next day, then gone the day after. its a little expensive, but sooooo worth it.
to prevent zits from comming.... drink lots of water, clip your bangs away from your face at night to give it some air, use a clenser every day, but also an oil free face lotion because if skin gets too dry it will over produce oil and make even more zits. don't touch your forhead.
and be glad you only have them where no one sees them much!

omg,im 13 too.i have the same problem.i used to have pimple in my forehead!.try this okay
1st wash ur face regularly with a non-moisturizing soap
2nd moisturize ur skin with a very light lotion
3rd don't touch ur face
4th wash ur hair everyday and try to get it out of ur face
5th drink atleast 8 glasses of water to flash the toxins out
6th don't overeat food with high fat like chocolate, peanut,peanut-butter,cheese etc...

or

*keep skin clean with mild medicated soap/cleanser.(do not squeeze/prick pimples or scarring will occur)
*keep hair clean
*see ur doctor if the condition is severe.the doctor can prescribe and supersive a course of long term antibiotic treatment or other appropriate drugs.

it works for me. ;) good luck!

Maybe you can try some inexpensive over-the-counter acne treatment cream/gel/pads/wash/etc. that contains salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide.

I know someone who had the same condition, and he got rid of his forehead pimples with Oxy pads.

I AM 13 AND EXACTLY THE SAME!!! Okay, here's what works for me... I'm growing out my bangs (had them forever) and it's helping. DONT PICK THEM! It makes them red and swollen and more infected and they take even longer to go away. DONT EVEN TOUCH THEM dirt and oils on your skin will make more! There are lots of acne products you can buy just at the store.

There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html
