Well, you get what you pay for. You said you had a great time on the Disney Cruise, so I assume you don't feel it was a waste of money. The reason why the Carnival Cruise and most others are cheaper. They're just not as great at all. It's like when people say, "well, I was thinking maybe Universal Studios would be better than Walt Disney World because it's cheaper." Remember, Disney is one of largest, most well-known companies in the world. These other companies are in such competition with them that the only thing they can do to get any business is to offer cheaper prices. Cheaper prices = cheaper quality of everything. Trust me, after being on a Disney Cruise... you'll be disappointed with just about anything else. Disney has the private island, Castaway Cay, they have different sections on the ship and the island for different age groups. Since you've already been on a Disney Cruise you should certainly know that it's not "dedicated" to children. Adults and couples can go, too, and have an amazing time. Did you see the Vista Spa? It's beautiful!
Anyway, hope I could help! Have a fun, safe cruise, whichever you choose.

If you liked your Disney cruises, I'm sure you will be very disappointed by Carnival cruises. A Disney cruise is more expensive because it's higher-end. You get what you pay for. Because Carnival cruises are so much cheaper, they also attract a different crowd than Disney cruises. It's like comparing the people you find showing at the 99 cents store vs. people shopping at Neiman-Marcus. The people on your cruise can definitely make or break the experience you have.

Only great memories and experiences including my last two cruises with my grandchild. I've cruised Carnival since their inaugural ship Mardi Gras. I owe Carnival being a cruise fan. I've cruised Carnival 4 times alternating with Royal Caribbean and Norwegian and all these 3 fleets are wonderful. My next scheduled cruise will be on Princess. I love everything on Carnival as well as on any other cruise line. The bitter with bad attitude should not cruise. Those and the misinformed are probably the ones who write negative comments about cruise lines. I would go on Carnival as many times as I could according to my budget and itinerary preference!!!!

It's good to hear that Carnival Vista from United States taken the place of largest cruise ship in the fleet of Carnival Cruise lines at New York. It's construction on the 133,500-ton ship is expected to be completed in spring 2016, with delivery to its Miami homeport shortly after. It includes features of the first IMAX theater at sea, so the passengers will get more entertainment and it also have the line's first onboard brewery, called RedFrog Pub.

Personally, I didn't enjoy my stay at Carnival's Sensation cruise ship. Like someone mentioned, the food, for one, isn't that up to par with others. Disney might be more expensive, but worth the price.

Disney can be very expensive, but the food on their ship is a lot better than those other cruiselines. I think either way you decide you'll still have fun. Also, keep in mind it's always nice to try something different. You could even try taking the Disney Magic, which is their other cruise ship. It goes somewhere else. They will also have a ship going to Europe in 2007 I believe.

Carnival is not going to be as nice as Disney. I am not saying it is a bad line, but you are giving up a BMW for a Kia. You will notice why it is priced different. Disney is also prices a little higher because it has the Disney name and theme.

Carnival has "Camp Carnival" for kids where they do all kinds of things with the kids during the day and early evening. Some times cost you a fee, but most afternoon times don't. You see the kids in groups with Camp Carnival crew members all over the ship during the day.
