It is a group of hundred of Island. The biggest being Tahiti. It's capital is Papeete. It has its own government which seeks independance. It has about 200 000 inhabitants, more than 100 000 live in Papeete. From France you need 1 day to go there via Los Angeles. In summer time there is minus 12 hours difference between France and French Polynesia.

France every year gives hundreds millions of Euros so that french Polynesia can survive because its mains ressources are : fishing, perls, fruits, tourism.

It has beautiful beaches, the weather is always hot, the locals are friendly. A lot of couple go there for their honey moon.
