I would say that since these things actually belong in those places, someone must've already placed them there.

I would not waste my time thinking about it. The alarm is likely going of and I have less than five minutes to find something worth taking a be out of there before the police arrive! So Closet shelves, coat pocket turn over bed, dresser top and drawers, Kitchen cupboards for cookie jars/canisters, drawers, refrigerator. Take only cash,jewels or highly portable valuables that can fit into a pocket! LEAVE NOW. Walk DON'T RUN. No sense getting caught for nothing.

Since we are talking about an apartment, I would assume that someone arranged it that way. If this is an analogy for Flintsonian Creationism It falls flat on it's face.
If we were made just the way we are answer me this? Why do one of the human embryonic stages have gills?

My guess would be, there was a MASSIVE explosion, millions of years ago, and after many different growing stages, and developmental spurts, these things MAGICALLY came together in perfect unison! Oh, you left out the clock on the wall that has kept perfect time down through the ages! ;-)
