Ok, I know if I ever want to lose weight I have to do some sort of cardio 4-5 times a week for an hour each time. The trouble is, after a few days I can't take that treadmill anymore! Its winter now, so its too cold to go outside a lot for running, is there any other way I can get in some good cardio without going out of my mind with boredom?

I use the treadmill in front of the television, or with headphones on. I also set a goal for a place I wanted to visit, got the mileage to it and used the treadmill until I had the roundtrip mileage racked up.

Are you doing your cardio at home or at the gym? If you are are doing it at the gym then you don't have to stay on the same cardio machine the whole time. Same thing goes for at home. Try mixing up your workout by making your self a mini circuit. It could include the Treadmill, skipping with a rope, shadow boxing and running up and down stairs if you have them in your home. Alternatively you could do some classes at the gym or buy or hire some workout DVD's. There are great cardio workouts you can do that aren't like the stereo typed 80's aerobics. Dance workouts or Combat workouts, Or what about working out with a friend? At least then you have company.

Man, I love the treadmill, my knees won't let me use it anymore, Get an iPod or something similar and put on some good music. Or if you have an iPod, gets some podcasts of the old comedy radio shows. They are fun and free.

Get a good book to read, I use my Palm and read. It is a good excuse for me to read, I have to exercise.

Now I use the elliptical runner, can't read as well on there. Going to try the recumbent bike for variety. I still would rather use the tread mill.

The gym I go to has headsets and about a dozen TVs set up, but since I don't care about sports or MTV, I find that is pretty useless.

Well not knowing how big you are but if you are like me I put this crap on over a 15 years so it is that you would want to get reed of it for life and guess what it is for life you have to work out for life. You may want to think about joining a gym and you do not have to work out 4 to 5 time aweek the reason is that you body needs one day to feel the effects so you need to work each body part ever other day so if you work your tummy and legs tonight then tomorrow you would want to work you shoulder and back and then the next night your tummy so on. you can do this with the tread mill and the steps. if you join and they have a pool then this is very good you can break it up the way you want to but the bottom line is it is for life so you need to figured it out but some time you can do it for a half hour to and hour

If you can, try going on the treadmill while watching your favorite television show. Before you know it, you'll be done.

If the TV is too far away, listen to a variety of music. I always look forward to Motley Crue Mondays!

Go to your local video store and rent a cardio video. A few days later when it's due to be returned, rent a different one.
