Pampa on Amsterdam Avenue and 97th Street is an Argentine steakhouse. The steaks are affordable - skirt steak, shell steak and churrasco steak are about $20 - other cuts are higher priced. They have a mixed grill for two for $38. The steaks are always perfectly cooked, service has always been outstanding (such good looking waiters!). A portion of fries is about $4 - a huge platter - easily enough for two. The desserts are good. I love the sweetbreads - $9 an order; I like to split the order and eat them as an appetizer. The food is good and it's a great value.
Warning: they don't take credit cards - cash only.

Nice Matin is a great French Restaurant in the UWS, or if you're looking for something a little less 'involved' the West Side Brewing Compnay has great beers and burgers.

My neighborhood, the center of the universe! There are lots of all-purpose diners where you can get anything, for example Westside Diner at 68th/Broadway (all locations approximate but close), Utopia Diner on Amsterdam between 72nd/73rd, Manhattan Diner at 77th & Broadway, Cafe 82 at 82nd & Broadway. In addition, so many Italian/ Chinese/ Japanese places all over. Some highlights: Ollie's (67th & Broadway , 84th & Broadway, 116th & Broadway) is good dependable Chinese with great big bowls of soup. Shun Lee (67th between Broadway & Central Park West) is more upscale Chinese. Several excellent Japanese sushi places on Amsterdam between 80th & 84th, including Haru. Ruby Foo's at 77th & Broadway. Arte (73rd between Columbus & Amsterdam) is excellent Italian. Niko's at 76th & Broadway for good Greek food. For nice breakfasts, Good Enough to Eat and Sarabeth's, both on Amsterdam in the low 80's. Weekend brunch at Isabella's (77th & Columbus) is very popular. In general, you can just walk along Columbus from 67th to 77th and try out whatever looks good. Also a good stretch on Amsterdam from about 80th to 84th. Welcome to New York!

Ej's on 81st and Amsterdam for breakfast. For dinner try Luzia's on 83rd and Amsterdam. It has the best Portugese food I've ever had.

Jeez, you do no longer supply us lots to bypass on. Adults in straightforward terms? kinfolk with childrens? decide for to objective favourite new spots, or classic standards? interested in ethnic food? how on earth are *we* meant to know what you are going to love? on the united statesBarney Greengrass is oftentimes going on for bagels and lox.
