I have got my passport yesterday and my initial is missing before my name. All my college certficates have my name with initial. Will I be having a problem while going abroad????????

it could. the first and last names on your passport, drivers license and tickets have to match exactly. if there is an error, bring your passport, the envelope that it came in and the document showing the correct name (i.e. state certified birth certificate) to the agent where you applied or the nearest one ( you can find it on travel.state.gov). if corrected within 30 days, the picture page can be corrected at the passport center. if further questions, contact these folks right away:

Not unless you are taking your certificates and want to use them for something. Your passport is your international ID, nothing more. They look at your face and whatever the name is, that is you. If you have plans abroad that involve proof of education, you better get the passport fixed.

It is better to get the name in the Passport corrected in order to avoid any problem in future.

This is only a minor detail and won't be a problem. Be sure to carry your license with you, not that you were not going to, as a precaution for identification.

If it's not the way you want it,send it back and get it right,you paid top dollar and you'll have it for 10 years.
