Its a question more than a quote; we do both- fight for change and also to punish...What comes to mind is "Justice is not what goes into court- justice is what comes out."

“The most important of life's battles is the one we fight daily in the silent chambers of the soul.”

“There would be no passion in this world if we never had to fight for what we love.”

“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi

“What counts is not necessarily the size of the dog in the fight; it's the size of the fight in the dog” ~ Dwight David Eisenhower

Do we rally behind something because we want a change to something or are we upset that only we want revenge not to fix the problem at hand.

We all ran into Iraq to try to stop Osama and find WMDs.

But all we did was try to punish the people of Iraq by letting them down by not having a gameplan when we were there since there wasn't anything there and Osama is still on the loose.
